Our Sustainable Development Report: Green Commitments, in Black and White
Solisco’s Sustainable Development Report: Proof that the environment is a source of sustainability
Our forests are Solisco’s central concern
With 35 years of experience in the paper industry, at Solisco, we know that sustainable development is key to ensuring success in the marketplace. Because we provide a wide range of products to our North American clients we know that it can sometimes be hard to stay ahead of new environmental standards.
It’s for this very reason that Solisco wants to show that it is possible to balance respect for the environment with sustainability. We believe that it is crucial to tackle deforestation while exploring new alternatives, to foster a circular economy friendly to the life cycle of paper, for which demand is still high.
Our Sustainable Development Report is the proof: we produce large print runs of our products, maintaining high quality standards while using our resources in a responsible way.
At Solisco, 100% of waste produced in the printing process is recycled after use in our facilities. We use heavy-metal-free inks made of plant-based ingredients which means they can be removed from paper, and are easier to recycle.
But our plans don’t stop at paper. Whether by our adoption of green technologies, or our commitments to several sustainability initiatives, Solisco positions itself as a leader in the industry.
We write our promises in black and white. Close to 70% of the paper we use at Solisco is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC), meeting environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
In addition, not only does this seal guarantee the traceability of your products, but our partnership with the international PrintReleaf program also guarantees that forests are replanted.
Whether you run a small business or a large corporation, these seals allow you to produce and distribute your products with complete peace of mind, and not worry about having a negative impact on our planet. And, together, we’ll be able to build a sustainable, responsible, and prosperous future for future generations.
Did you know?
Paper production is not the number one cause of deforestation. Agricultural expansion is the number one cause of deforestation, because many logging operations are conducted in such a way that regrowth of vegetation cannot occur.
