Dînette Magazine Reveals Projected Expansion to Dragons

On May 22, the couple who founded Dînette magazine revealed its plans for the future on television show Dans l’œil du dragon (ICI Radio-Canada Télé). On stage, Mathieu Lachapelle, general manager, and Hélène Mallette, editor-in-chief and art director, made our team proud.

Launched in 2015, this publication printed by Solisco has been serving up a unique and compelling vision of culinary culture, lifestyle and travel. Its velvety paper and fresh graphic design yield a book-like magazine that looks great displayed on a coffee table. Its innovative formula favours integrated advertising, which is perfectly in tune with its editorial content.

Mr. Lachapelle and Ms. Mallette appeared before the dragons to invite them to invest in their business just as their European expansion is hitting its stride. They’ve already managed to establish a distribution network that makes Dînette the most widely disseminated Quebec publication on that continent. Their goal: to look into greater overseas opportunities, both in France and other markets.

In the end, the duo did not accept the offer submitted by dragon Marie-Josée Richer. Nonetheless, the experience gave them enviable visibility while allowing them to garner much praise for Dînette‘s quality.

We are happy to support these young homegrown entrepreneurs, who show creativity and dare to rethink established business models.
